about

Design and innovation leadership

I built a design and innovation leadership career from mobile phone designer to design leader of smartphones and connected wearables; to creative director of smart connected solutions.

Design Mobile Communication

As Senior Industrial Designer and Creative  Producer at Sony Ericsson, I  was responsible for all industrial design of the Cybershot ,  Walkman and Premium mobile/smartphones. I designed and introduced wearables on CeBIT 10 years before the smartwatch was born.

Disrupt Mobile Life

On a three years assignment, I established and headed Sony Ericsson UX Creative Design Center in Beijing, China. Acting as design leader and hands-on designer for the Sony Mobile Xperia™ portfolio, including smartphones, smartwear and other smart devices. Responsible for advance concept creation, material and manufacturing innovation.

Driven to understand what's next, I've gone deep and far in creating new and better human experiences in the convergence of software, hardware, and cloud. I navigate change, develop experimental futures, design new product/service experiences, and enhance brand values. All in collaboration with some of the world's most innovative organizations and cross-functional teams.

After completing my Master's in Industrial Design at Konstfack, Stockholm in 1995, I joined Ericsson Mobile Communications. Responsible for a new product category of accessories – Imageware.

Mobile phones got huge, to say the least, and I was on an exciting design journey, playing the 'premier league' of Ericsson vs Nokia. Designed and launched the first colored matched headphones and introduced Ericsson wearables at CeBIT ten years before the smartwatch was born.

I continued to design and lead the creation of mobile phones, smartphones, and android wear accessories for Sony Ericsson (later Sony Mobile) in Sweden and China. I designed the 1st Walkman™ and Cyber-shot™ phones – introducing digital imaging and music experience to over 100 million customers. All-in-all, more than 200 product launches on the global market, including setup and lead of the new Beijing UX Creative Design Center.

In 2015, I joined forces with the technology and engineering company Sigma Connectivity. With a strong shift in the technology landscape (buzzword IoT) and a crying need from companies to find or gain relevance with their customers in a smart connected world, I brought design competence to the company. Sigma Connectivity became the first-ever independent design house of connected solutions, capable of taking new ideas from strategy and creation to manufacturing and market launch, all under one roof.
